up north.

i've talked about going "up north," and what it means to a minnesotan on this blog several times, but to remind you all, going up north means more than likely that you are going to enjoy one of our 10,000  11,842 lakes at a cabin in the northern part of the state. we minnesotans like our lakes...i mean really love them. i think it is the number one thing most taken for granted by minnesotans, and then when they leave they realize that not every state is as magical is minnesota. it is definitely one of the major things luke and i will miss when we move to west virginia in 22 days.

whoa...we move in 22 days. it's thrilling to think about.

anyways, the reason i'm explaining the magical land that is "up north," is because we just got back from enjoying 5 glorious days on stalker lake at luke's family cabin. it was such a fun time, and we got to spend some much needed family time with gramiths before we move. however, i think both luke and i agree that this month and a half long vacation is starting to feel too long. we're ready for structure...we're ready for west virginia.

here are a few photos from our long weekend. hope your fourth of july is wonderful!
we were planning on attending fireworks, but i am starting to think it is just too darn hot and humid out.
