while on our trip, luke and i were able to take a sailing excursion through one of the local resorts. it was  such a great day! the mixture of a hilarious crew on-board and an open bar made for a wonderful 2 hour sailing ride on the beautiful turquoise caribbean waters. once we reached tulum (our main destination), they anchored us and handed out snorkeling gear. i bought a disposable, water-proof camera for this purpose and cannot wait to get it developed! while i'm not a huge fan of salt water, or how it makes your skin/hair feel once you're out of the water, the snorkeling was a great experience. my only wish is that they would have had a way to rinse off once we were all done because after snorkeling, we piled into little boats that took us to shore to tour the mayan ruins at tulum. being the history geeks that we are, luke and i just soaked up the history, and it kept my mind off the extreme heat. it didn't hurt that the view from tulum was one-of-a-kind beautiful.

mexico never runs out of surprises.
have any of you ever been?

xo, eden
