Hi Minnesota Girl readers, my name is Bekuh and I blog over on Secondhand Sundays. Secondhand Sundays is my personal blog where I share my adventures as a semi-professional thrifter, newlywed, and DIY wannabe. When Eden asked me to guest post today and share what I love about Spring my mind immediately went to the transformation of nature after a long winter and how that deeply affects me every year.

Spring to me is a time of rebirth and the chance for nature to start afresh after shedding the dead weight of winter's coat. I always feel a burden lifted when the world begins to thaw and color returns to the surface of every living thing. In Virginia the trees burst into life and shower you with nature's confetti; blossoms from native trees. The bushes bloom too, and suddenly the winter greys are replaced by bright greens, fluffy whites, pink, and sunny yellows. I too feel an inner bursting of life as my dour mood turns sweet and lively again. I suddenly feel like long walks to watch the sunset later and later into the night, and dinner is always served al fresco.

What I love about spring is that in no other season do I feel as profound a change within myself as I see in the flora and fauna around me. It is a reminder that we are connected to the earth, and that the earth is as inseparable from us as our skin. I'm off to frolic in fields of daffodils. big kiss, bekuh
