Today I recieved an email from my educational advisor stating that Tolerance Minnesota, a pretty self-explanatory group, was paying for Social Studies majors to go on a one day trip to Washington D.C. in March to visit the Holocaust Museum. This experience is going to be so amazing. Not only are we getting a tour, but we are meeting with some of the museums educational professionals who are going to teach us how to incorporate what we have learned it into our future lesson plans. This is going to be such a great experience for me. Even better yet...all we have to pay for is $25 to charter a bus and then for any meals or souvenirs. I am so incredibly excited!!
Despite this great news, I am still quite sick. I woke up with body aches, an even worsened sore throat, and a fever over 100 degrees. :( Plus, I have to work tonight from 5-9, and because I was sick only a few weeks ago, I feel guilty about calling in...so I'm going to be a trooper and just go in. I am getting a little extra resting time though because Luke offered to bring in my paper to our professor for me. [We are both in the WWII history class] He really is the greatest. :)
I'm going to go make some honey lemon tea now to hopefully soothe my throat...at least for a while.
