A Wonderful Saturday

Today was a great day. I woke up early, and headed over to the rec center for a great morning workout. Afterwards, we came back and I had a bowl of oatmeal with honey for breakfast. Once everyone was done getting ready, we decided to go up to Estes Park, which is in the mountains. It's a small tourist-y style town, and the streets are lined with little shops. Everything from hiking shops to ice cream and candy shops to the typical trinket shop. I've always loved it up there. I've been going up there since I was little and we would go up during trips to visit my Grandpa and/or aunt and uncle, who all lived in CO before my parents moved from MN. When we got up there the weather was comparable to in Erie, but by the time we left the wind had become quite bitter and it just felt good to get inside. When we got home, my mom made tacos, which were the perfect end to the day. I'll leave you with some pictures from the day.

What is left of the Historic Mall/Theatre. The majority of the mall was destroyed in a fire this past year, but luckily they managed to save the theatre.

The Stanley Hotel, which was used in the movie The Shining, and is said to be haunted. I think it is such a beautiful building, and would be perfect for a wedding.

The different views from Devil's Gulch. It is literally surrounded by mountains. It is so pretty.

This is called Twin Owls. Can you see it? :)

The shirt is hard to see, but it has ruffles on the front. I love it.

Now, back to finish up another relaxing evening with my family. I go back to Minnesota on Tuesday, so I want to enjoy every last minute I have.

Hope everyone has a great night!
