Winter Wonderland and Other Ramblings...

The week before I flew out to Colorado it was 60 degrees here. Today I woke up to 4 inches of snow, and throughout the day we got probably close to 7 inches..plus, it's still snowing. I'm thrilled to be having a white Christmas, but there is a small part of me that was über excited for some non-Minnesota winter weather. Nonetheless, the snow is beautiful.

My mother, sister (Haley), and I did tons of Christmas baking. We made Bakerella's Mint Oreo Truffles with one change, we Christmified them. Is that a word? Probably not, but it is here in my very own corner of the world. Click to see the recipe here. We also made Vanilla-Almond Sugar Cookies. They turned out great! My mom found this recipe on Bake At 350. Before today, I hadn't heard of this site, but after looking at it I'm obsessed! She's an incredibly talented baker, but I'm absolutely amazed by her cookie decorating skills. We also made my momma's fudge recipe. I'll post that recipe later (with pictures of everything)!

Well, that's my update for the day. I know, not that interesting, but I promise tomorrow I'll put up some pictures from our baking day after we decorate our sugar cookies. Alrighty, back to Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I'm ashamed to admit that I may or may not have a small crush on Draco Malfoy.

Shh. I know what you're thinking. But look...
