Sunday Stories

Today was awesome. I woke up and went to church with my family, though I'm fairly sure that I won't be going to a Methodist church when I'm fully "grown up." It's just too old fashioned for me, both in style of service and congregation. Anyways, after we got back my sister and I left to go shopping at the Orchard mall in Westminster, CO. I love that mall to death, and today was a gorgeous day to be at an outdoor mall. I proved to be a pro-bargain shopper today. I got two dresses and a pair of gray lace leggings for only $15 dollars at Macy's! I also picked a pair of charcoal, winter-y tights, and plain black leggings. Lastly, at Target, I used some of one of my giftcards to purchase the dress I've been dying to get, along with a red cardigan. Overall, it was a very relaxing shopping trip. Plus, it was nice to have some "hang" time with my sissy.

I've recently discovered a blog called "Sometimes Sweet," and after looking over her blog I just wanted to share it with everyone. She is such an inspirational woman, always positive, and she has excellent style. She's a high school English teacher, so her "teacher" outfits have really given me ideas of pieces to start collecting for when I graduate with my teaching degree. I cannot wait. Click here to follow the link to her blog. You won't regret it.

One, last random thing: I am really starting to miss Luke. For those of you who don't know, here's the story of how this whole Colorado/Minnesota thing happened. I grew up in Minnesota, and during my senior year Luke and I started dating. I didn't really think it would ever become serious, but by mid-summer it definitely was. By this time, my parents had announced that they were moving to Colorado because my mom was offered a job in Boulder. I had even applied and attended orientations at a few different colleges in CO. I had really fallen hard for this guy, and I knew I couldn't give up on the relationship. So...I stayed in MN, while my parents and sister picked up their lives and left for their new journey in CO. It has been difficult for many reasons. I miss my family ALL the time when I'm back home, but yet I am so happy where I am...OK...not where I am physically (as in St. Cloud, MN), but emotionally. I live with two of my very best friends, and I see the love of my life everyday. It has been almost 3 years since my parents move, and I have been out to see them at least 3 times a year. I've even had my best friend, Megan, who just happens to be coming out later this week, and Luke come out to stay. It's like a mini-vacation when I come "home." Needless to say, I love it.

Ok, well I'm going to probably go to bed at a decent hour tonight so that I can wake up early, go work out, see Sherlock Holmes with my family, then head down to Parker to watch the Vikings tomorrow evening at my aunt and uncles home. :) Tomorrow should be great!
