I woke up this morning to a cold wet nose touching mine, and I opened my eyes to find our golden retriever, Libby, peering down at me. She was clearly telling me that it was time to wake up. I came down stairs to find that Santa had indeed come and that my mother was making homemade cinnamon rolls...Pioneer Woman's cinnamon rolls to be exact, which by the way were
delish. My sister and I helped clean the house and finish getting ready before my uncle, aunt, and cousins got to our house. It's been a tradition in my parent's house for a long time that on Christmas day we have a brunch that includes my mom's egg bake, and this year also included those delicious cinnamon rolls I mentioned earlier.
Our extended family arrived around 11am, and the festivities began. It was a lovely day, spent with loved ones.

After everyone left, we drove down Baseline Rd, running between highway 287 and Boulder, to see the most extravagant light display I've ever seen. They had it up last year as well, and we were pleased to see they did again! It was just like "walking in a winter wonderland."
So incredible, right? Can you even imagine how much time and effort they put into this? Did you see anything like this where you live? I would love to see it! I hope everyone had a very, very, very, very merry Christmas!
